HOW TO HELP

Christians For The Mountains is a people-driven organization. Everyone can help. Everyone is needed. Everyone is important.

Calls for volunteers will be posted on this page as the need arises. If any Christians For The Mountains member needs help please contact Mail and we will post here.

Some of the tasks right now are the following:

(1) We may need help putting up an improved database of members. Contact Allen Johnson at (304) 799-4137 or email at Mail

(2) Help will be appreciated for any of the components of the webpage. Especially Issues, Upcoming Events, Bible & Theology, Prayer & Action, News, and Photo Galleries. Having folks take on a part will enable us to keep the website updated more frequently. Contact Allen Johnson at the above (2).

(3) Lots of people are writing letters to newspaper editors or Op Ed pieces; folks are writing pieces for church newsletters; people are publicizing events; folks are contacting legislators and government officials frequently and effectively; folks are speaking on issues effectively;; and people are hosting gatherings to explain our cause. Keep this up, and join in!!!

(4) We encourage everyone to continue to pray fervently!!! Someone could organize a prayer alert or prayer network.

(5) Thoughtful, well-written essays that integrate Christian faith and biblical/theological themes especially that underpin our work are appreciated.

(6) Supporting the events of others involved in conservation and environmental advocacy and reporting these are most helpful.

(7) Photos of events, people, and both the beauty of God’s creation and the (sigh) ugliness when it is trammeled have usefulness.

(8) Inviting and hosting church leaders to visit mountaintop removal sites or to take Southwings flyovers help convince these folks of the seriousness of this issue.

(9) Fundraising is needed since we continue to operate on a shoestring. Grantwriting, gift solicitation, DVD sales, or other ways to bring in modest income is important to continuing this work.
